The commitment of Siemens in China began in 1872 - 132 years ago. In the year
2004 the 100th birthday of the first Siemens branch in China was celebrated.
With the opening of this first office, the career of Siemens began as an
distinguished Corporate Citizen in China, with a broad presense at the local
market, where from research and development and production up to supply and
training activities were done. Today Siemens maintains more than 45 companies
and 30 branches in China. These form the backbone of the regional strategy of
Siemens and make a large customer proximity possible for the enterprise.
